Juggling Holiday Events
If you read my November tips, then you are on your way to being organized and having stress-free fun. December is a busy month for everyone. Book your schedule to get the most out of it.
Here are some tips to get you started:
Shared Web Calendar
□ If you don't have one already, create a shared family calendar (Google...?)
□ Create separate calendars by who needs to attend (ie. Mom & Dad, Entire Family, ...)
□ Color code each calendar and give appropriate people Viewing and/or Editing ability.
□ Add events as you receive them followed by a "? or rsvp'd -YES" (You don't need to calendar events you know you aren't attending, but don't forget to rsvp. Add a dated RSVP task item for the "?" events.)
□ List what you need to bring in the Notes section and add to your shopping list.
Now, everyone will have the schedule. You won't double/over book. And everyone can make personal commitments around scheduled events.
Shop Early
□ This I cannot stress enough . . . SHOP EARLY! (& calendar everything)
